Kim is predominately an oil painter but does enjoy charcoal drawing and ink sketching too. More recently she has been enjoying printing with her Gelli plate!

Her qualification is in Architectural Draughting. Her painting journey began in 2010, when she started weekly oil painting classes, with her cousin, Durban Artist, Dee Donaldson.

Her subject matter is varied. She is inspired by daily life , appreciating and noticing the smallest of things that are often taken for granted.

Currently, Kim is working with mixed media, on paper and canvas, in a playful explorative way using found objects , stencils and drawing tools to suggest and evoke a sense of the subject, rather than drawing in the traditional way.
