Leigh Bisset is an Internationally exhibited Fine Artist, with pieces hanging in private residence worldwide. Her work explores the ocean as an emotional and sensory landscape, using ethereal tropical landscapes to invoke stillness, presence and the deep human longing for peace. Leigh grew up on the north coast of Durban, South Africa, where the ocean was an innate part of life. In 2000, She completed a Fine Arts degree cum laude (1996-2000), majoring in painting. After her studies, she spent time traveling, and experience that expanded her creative perspective and connecting to the natural world. Leigh settled in Sydney, Australia, where she based herself for 10 years, working the field of Branding and Graphic Design, refining her eye for composition and colour. Upon her return to South Africa in 2012, Leigh joined the Branding team of LIV Village, a non-profit providing a home and restoration for orphans and vulnerable children (www.liv-village.com). By 2015, it was time to come back to her first love - painting. Currently, she works from her studio on the North Coast of Durban, South Africa.
