The Gallery at The Studios hosts a Figure Drawing Workshop every first Thursday of the month, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, guided by established artist and art lecturer Brian Eriksson.
This hands-on session is designed to help artists of all levels refine their drawing and painting skills through the timeless practice of working from a live model. Participants will begin with a series of quick sketches to loosen their hand and sharpen their observation, before moving into a more sustained study of a single pose.
Figure drawing has long been considered one of the most valuable exercises for artists. It not only builds confidence in mark-making but also deepens an understanding of form, proportion and movement. Under Brian’s expert tutelage, attendees will have the opportunity to explore both technical skill and creative expression, while enjoying a complimentary coffee from Coffee Lab, the perfect creative fuel while you sketch.
