DE/MATERIALIZE is a contemporary group exhibition bringing together textile art, painting, sculpture, drawing, and mixed media. The exhibition explores transformation; what happens when materials shift, soften, unravel, or are reimagined, and how meaning can deepen in that process. DE/MATERIALIZE is not about reduction or minimalism. It is about change. Artists work in the space between form and formlessness, presence and absence; allowing materials to fragment, dissolve, or evolve. Textile art forms a central thread within the exhibition through the participation of the National Fiberworks Group. Long associated with function and domestic space, textiles are presented here as powerful contemporary expressions, rich with labour, history, identity, and human touch. Through fabric, thread, and process, artists explore how meaning can be carried, altered, and gently released.
